Should've said it was a curse...

No matter how many times his parents told him that they loved him and the incident wasn't his fault, Yakko always blamed himself for what happened. At this point, he is miserable, he doesn't smile nor has a full control over his powers. Due to his struggles of trying to keep everything in, he is an emotional wreck and if not careful, almost anything could set his powers off, something that he wish he could control.

The biggest example was hearing the devastating news of his parents' ship, his emotions went out of control and caused a blizzard to form in his own room. No matter how hard he tried to keep himself together, the power was just too much that he ended up doubling over from exhaustion...
